Girls AAU Basketball is thriving in the Pacific NW region of the AAU.  Pacific NW AAU Girls basketball had almost 4,400 members in the 2010 AAU year (Sept 1, 2009-Aug 31, 2010).   From Sept. 1, to Dec 20, 2010 almost 4,000 members have already signed up.   Girls Basketball is growing so fast due to the quality of the tournaments and leagues that are being offered to the players.  There are 85 different clubs representing the players.  
 
Check out the AAU website at www.pnaau.org to see the different events, Girls Basketball Leagues and Girls Basketball tournaments that are being held throughout the year in the Pacific Northwest area. 
 
The AAU Girls Basketball National Championships and Super Showcase Events will be held in Florida, Pennsylvania, Los Angeles, Virginia, Las Vegas, New Orleans and Tennessee.  Many of the events will be held at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando.    These are fun and exciting places for teams to go to play basketball and have a good time off the court as well. 
 
AAU Girls Basketball has been fortunate in the Pacific Northwest to have many talented and dedicated people and groups that have put on quality and competitive events.   Having the successful Seattle Storm in our area has been a boost to the girls’ basketball programs in the Puget Sound area.   The players and the organization have been encouraging and ready to lend a hand to our local teams and players.
